Neville’s Cross was all but foot perfect until pitching on landing at the second last when mounting what looked to be a strong challenge. Huge disappointment for us but worse for the horse who’s now had two falls from two runs over fences. Yesterdays fall was not a result of poor jumping it was just one of those things which happens to more experienced horses too. Thankfully, he ate every nut in his pot last night and has trotted up sound this morning.

Those in training swung through on the woodchip upsides twice, San Augstin went for his summer holidays and two new shoes went on the horsebox as I got a flat on the way home.
