If Velasco had jumped the last I think it was clear for all to see he’d have won, it would have been a fantastic result as David has been ill. For twelve months, he’s only left his house to go to hospital and Taunton yesterday was his first day out in over a year.
I’m sure many people are probably desperate to get away from their in-laws but the crowds at the racecourses over the Christmas break are very encouraging. People love racing and the industry needs to sell it better. We can not rely on journalists; they seem to want to rack over old coals whether that be in print or on social media.
