The day got off to the best start possible with Pinnacle Panda winning at Uttoxeter. He never really travelled on horrendous ground but was game and tough. I am particularly pleased for Robbie who did a huge amount of work on Panda when we broke him in, he was a tear away and we often saw him disappearing into the distance.  He wasn’t easy and Robbie deserved todays win more than anyone.

Rebekah Rabbit nearly made it two winners form two runners on the day but sadly ran into a very well handicapped horse that was racing off 91 having been placed off 105! We then moved on to Kelsey at Uttoxeter who simply hated the ground, he didn’t travel or jump with any fluency. He hates getting his feet stuck but copes when he can get through it. Lamanver Alchemy ran very well at Warwick finishing 2nd behind a horse of Alan Kings who has black type written all over it. All horses have come home and have their heads in their feed bowls. I will be checking them all before bedtime. We’ve had a good day in the office. The day at Warwick was most enjoyable thanks to Aiden Murphy who has a box and makes me and all my owners most welcome throughout the day. Thank you very much Aiden.

Tomorrow is a big day for Singlefarmpayment who runs at Cheltenham in handicap company. He is very well and I’m very hopeful of a big run. In fairness to the horse he has to step up but he’s off a very dangerous weight and I think he will go close.  Very Intense runs at Fakenham, he has a great chance.

It is bad enough when my mother-in-laws keeps telling me she likes my balls but when owners start asking to see them it I draw the line.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.
