Triopas has come out of Taunton fine and spent the day in the field. No great excitements here this morning, routine canters for most. Many will work tomorrow. Agamemmon and Bhakti jumped 8 hurdles, Agamemmon goes to Uttoxeter tomorrow.

Depressingly, flat racing is starting to dominate the Racing Post, once we get out the other side of Aintree it will be all flat and time to cancel my paper.

Flashing Glance’s owners were here at evening stables, he has taken a while to settle into our regime but is going the right way now and will possibly be aimed for the bumper at Ayr during the Scottish National meeting. The horse will decide……….

Sholto has been running around Hereford, Worcester and Cheltenham with his old rugby mate James Clarkson. James will by now have run around all English National Hunt courses in 4 days in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund. He planned it all himself, his father has driven him on the route of his choice and he deserves huge credit. What an inspirational kid. Please support James, his target is £10,000 and he’s nearly there - wouldn’t it be amazing to see him get nearer £20,000.
