It felt like a long drive home from Newbury yesterday, Lossiemouth gave himself no chance jumping like he never been schooled. I will forgive him, the only reason I can come up with is - he is such a huge unit that the ground sucked him in rather than him ploughing through it. It was massive step up. Unsaddling I saw some very tired horses. Pounding Poet was not one of them and it maybe that the pace of races run around Newbury just found him out. Maybe the ground sucked him in too. Thier heels were clocked and the jockeys clean enough. Both horses are there for another day and after a good sleep I feel a little better. Today is another day.

Velasco heads to Taunton this afternoon, to read my thoughts click here.
