The motorways were in chaos last night, a journey that normally takes an hour and a half took three hours. Hence, why no blog.
L’Incorrigible won in taking fashion at Warwick yesterday, we had been very pleased with him at home and he delivered. It isn’t always the case with racehorses. We will now aim him towards the Cheltenham 4-year-old only bumper on New Years Day. He is fit an well this morning.
This morning we worked Kimberlite Candy, JohnBB, Dimmesdale, Lamanver Storm, and Templeross. The others all had routine canters around the sand or up the hill. Thomas Patrick and Jester Jet cantered around the sand before having a little blow on the hill.
Kateson didn’t disappoint today, winning a novice under a penalty is no easy task, to do it at Newbury makes it even more impressive.
We are certainly going into The Ladbroke Trophy on a roll and hope Thomas Patrick can keep the ball rolling. He’s had a lovely preparation and only time will tell if he’s good enough on the day. We just need the forecast rain to come over night and they’ll be no excuses.
Polydora has arrived safely in Newcastle. He appears in good order at home and will hopefully give a good account of himself.
