Triopas is in good shape after his hat-trick win at Catterick yesterday. We won’t be looking to find him a race within the 7 day time frame, as it was a conditional jockeys race yesterday he escapes a penalty for 7 days.
This morning can only be described at wet, the rain that fell this morning was of biblical proportions. The sand resembles a mud bath so we were on the hill. Colt Lightning and Thomas Patrick had a blow all the others routine canters.
Thomas Patrick heads to Haydock tomorrow, he copes on the heavy ground and is in good heart. We go in hope of equaling last season tally of 21 winners.
We have let some of the better ground horses down for a while now, the winter ground is here, after which, we have to go through the horrible drying ground period. Some of our horses have been on the go for a good while now and the break will do them all the world of good. The way they kick and buck on the walkers they wouldn’t seem to agree.
