Guy Roberts and his mates were here this morning to see New Member and their newly acquired horse Hag Stone. Hag Stone worked through on the woodchip in preparation for his run at Sandown on Friday. New Member cantered through and will go to Huntingdon on Sunday. All the 3 years olds are starting to up their game and go a stride quicker, they are a nice bunch. We couldn’t be happier with them.  

Lough Derg Leader was given 11lbs for his win at Doncaster, up to 131. Naturally, I think that is cruel given it was a false run race and with the greatest of respect to the others, on paper there was very little else in the race. To take him out of the next 2 handicap brackets with one reassessment is pretty tough in my book.
