Nothing too serious for any of the horses this morning, those heading to Ayr on Monday had a little blow on the hill and will be ridden before they leave tomorrow morning.

Tea Clipper looked to be running a nice race until his jumping fell apart, it cost him his momentum but not the race. We all too easily forget that he is only five years old and his best days are hopefully ahead of him. He’s a big rangy chap who has a huge frame to fill yet. In that grade, Sebastopol ran with plenty of credit given how long it has been between drinks. I hate losing as do most, it feels like a bruise on a bruise when a favorite gets beaten.

Late morning tomorrow, I will be driving the horses to Ayr so to read my thoughts on them and Nocte Volatus click here. I will update the thoughts page if the two horses get a run at Southwell otherwise it won’t be updating anything until my return. Have a good weekend.
