Lossiemouth is in good shape after Aintree yesterday, in a slow run race around Aintree in that company he was too far back form the start. I am to blame for that as I asked Richard to get him to settle and get him jumping. He has always been a slow learner and Richard confirmed afterwards he has a lot to learn yet. He was on and off the bridle and simply doesn’t yet know how to race. Loosing a shoe going to the first hurdle didn’t help but that had little reflection on the result. He ran on past beaten horses and will, I am sure take a big step forward next time for the experience.

Those typical Monday morning canters soon come around. This afternoon, four of have broken backs from shoveling sand back up into the low places after the rain washed it down the gallop.
