The trade in Ireland last week for stores was incredibly strong, the English bubble being burst certainly didn’t affect the trade. The horses kept coming and kept fetching very strong money throughout both days. Thankfully, many of us had our work done before the sale started and the bubble burst. I think it was the best collection of three-year-old stores I had seen for sometime and buying them for what I wanted to spend proved almost impossible. I have learnt the hard way, it is not good business giving over 50,000 for horses to race and sell and it most certainly is not good business allowing someone else to buy your horses. Corona virus on the back of a poor year of stock has pretty much exhausted that side of the business and I now try to rebuild it with less numbers.
