King Spirit sadly suffered a reoccurrence of his tendon injury at Worcester this afternoon, he will now be found a new home away from racing. If any horse deserved to win one it was him, John King, his owner, gave him 4 years in and out of training which was plagued by on and off injuries. I can honestly say, I don’t know another owner who would have been so patient and I’m sorry I couldn’t win a race with him for John who deserved it more so than anyone.

The babies continue their education in the loose school, some are now jumping under a saddle in the ménage. Those horses back in training are just cantering away putting in the all important hard yard.

1stlot, Pete Crawford was here this morning to see Silk Run and Megan’s Choice. Jason ands Jordan Thomas were here to see Meep Meep, fuel economy in the Gator was some what reduced 2ndlot!

I have received a few messages about my thoughts on the lack of technology on racecourses in regard to identifying the winner of a horserace. It is reassuring to know the champion trainer concurs with me.

Vivant goes to Uttoxeter tomorrow, I’d like to draw a line through her last run at Aintree as we cut our own throats. We will learn a bit more about her tomorrow and set out to ride our own race on her.
