Fairyhouse is as good a racecourse as I’ve ever seen, it is 1.7 miles round with beautiful fences, I thoroughly enjoyed walking it. Kimberlite Candy was, on that ground, flat out from flag fall. No horse can sustain that at any grade. He has stayed over in Ireland for his holiday and has come out of the race in great shape. When he gets his conditions he will win a nice race.

I have a habit of attracting screaming children or folk who are on the large side when on planes. I haven’t had to step over the chairs behind me to disembark a plane before. The lady sat next to me was firmly stuck in her chair and need professional assistance or someone with a bit more strength in their arms than me to free her. When I travel back from California with the mother of all hangovers, I had half a chair for eleven hours and thought it couldn’t happen to me again. Never say never, thankfully, Ireland is only a 45 minuet flight. Along with the American who wanted the smallest hire car possible allowing him to put it in the hedge when needed I was glad to get out of the airport.

Silk Run has developed a habit of jumping left, we will be running a few veterinary checks on her before taking her to the track again. Thankfully, it didn’t stop her getting her head in front for the third time this season. Pete the hug was in attendance and Stan was left feeling the love.

Vivant and two four year olds jumped eight fences this morning, all went well. The babies carry on with the breaking in process and a few were sat on for the first time today.
