Another beautiful morning.

Man O’ Words has come out of his race in good shape, he didn’t leave a nut overnight and is A1. The objective is to sell him and there is every chance he will end up in The Festival Sale with Cirano de Sivola. However, if anyone wants to buy him beforehand he’s here to be bought. He’s a gorgeous horse with a pedigree to boot. Scorpion his sire, is on the cold list commercially but I feel that he will soon be back on everyone’s radar. He covered an awful lot of quality mares including Man O’ words dam Mrs Malt. Mrs Malt hasn’t foaled a bad one yet. Scorpion's are not necessarily precocious types, he most certainly shouldn’t be written off. I for one love them and have no problem training them. Milan had a similar profile before becoming and remaining one of the most sort after National Hunt sires.

Pinnacle Panda is a little race sore, it comes as no surprise having run on ground that was just too quick of him. We had to run him based on his handicap mark with a view to going to Cheltenham. I don’t think he will run in The Martin Pipe race but may be aimed at Aintree. If they water as they have in previous years and rain comes in on top he’ll have his ground.

Tomorrow Kelsey runs at Warwick with Lamanver Odyssey. Kelsey appears in fine fettle after Towcester, he needs to take his chance tomorrow before he has the burden of the additional 11lbs the handicapper has given him for his win at Towcester. Yes, he looked impressive but the race came back to him and I think the handicapper has been way too harsh. Lamanver Odyssey, she is a full sister to Lamanver Alchemy and will run her race. She is fit and well but still a frame, she will head back to the fields after tomorrow to be given the time she needs to fill her frame. She won’t be disgraced.
