Routine canters for the majority of horses this morning, Freetime jumped 8 fences, Flashing Glance and Equus Amadeus had a little blow on the hill having cantered a mile around the sand.  

Mrs Redvers and I headed up to Doncaster together to saddle and watch Lady Cylla and Via Delle Volte. Lady Cylla was taken off her feet early on and still has a lot to learn, she will win her races when the penny drops as she has an attitude to die for. Richard Johnson was very complimentary given her finishing position. Via Delle Volte has flat racing experience which has its advantages and disadvantages. Advantages - she knows how to race, disadvantages - having been trained to run on the flat at speed she pulls to hard. I think, had she settled a little better she would have given an even better showing of herself and may even have won. It was a great showing on only her second run over hurdles. When or if she learns to settle she has a chance of picking a nice race up.
