David’s Phoebe is fine after her trip to Cartmel. Annoyingly, she added to out tally of horses finishing second for the season. We will look to step her up in trip but with limited options during the summer months we may be forced to step her up further than we wish. There is no rush to run her back so we will see what races are on the horizon in a few weeks’ time.

Guy Roberts was here on Saturday morning to see Kateson, Fair Kate, En Meme Temps and Vado Forte.

This morning all the Derby sale horses started their education in the loose jumping school. All of them seem natural and willing jumpers. They will get plenty more of the same before progressing into the ménage with a rider on their backs.

Those that didn’t jump went for their typical Monday morning canters up the hill. The foundations are being set for the autumn and winter months.
