Those that worked yesterday had a quiet enough morning with a single or a pair of canters up the hill. Those that put in hard yards cantered a couple of miles on the sand. Glory and Fortune and Lossiemouth jumped nine hurdles, four on the all weather schooling lane and a line of five on the grass.
Fair Kate raced a little too keenly off a slow run affair, it’s a tough ask for a light filly of her ability to carry 11st 12lbs. The handicapper needs to cut her some slack as I’d certainly like to think she can win a little race for us all.
