Thomas Patrick and an unnamed gelding went for an away day, both horses worked nicely and we will soon be looking to get Thomas Patrick back out there racing over the New Year. So frustrating that he had his hold up as there hasn’t ever been a better winter for soft ground horses. Exeter had to draw stumps after three races, Lossiemouth slipped on a bend causing questions to be asked. When questions are asked nowadays I think the decision is made before the question is answered. Lossiemouth looks like a big backward baby, to think he won two bumpers is astonishing given what we are currently seeing. He will be treated like a big backward baby in the hope time produces the horse we believe he is.

Outlaw Jessie James displaced her soft palet and will now have to have that looked into before we go any further with her.

Nothing too serious this morning, the only thing that is becoming serious is the weather. It hasn’t stopped all day and the drains around the sand are doing their job. The sand now only gets what rain lands on it, it will need a period of time before it gets a chance to dry back before it can cope with any amount of rain as it is totally saturated but thankfully has always been useable.

Adrimel heads to Uttoxeter tomorrow. To read my thoughts click here.
