An even earlier start than normal as we took ten horses away for a morning to work on grass, getting on grass this winter has been near on impossible, we are incredibly lucky that occasionally, we are allowed to use some private land of one of our owners. The horses all worked nicely and some will soon be looking for races.
Red Nika ran a super race, in being patient, we have done the right thing with him. He is going to develop into a horse who should win plenty of races if we give him time to fill his tall frame. Adrimel put in a super performance, not many win under a penalty and I have no doubt plenty of winners will come out of todays race. He deserves and has earned his Cheltenham entry but soft will need to be in the going description for him to line up.
All in all, a very satisfying day albeit, a very long one and some miles covered.
Tomorrow Thais Toir and Nocte Volatus head to Huntingdon. To read my thoughts click here.
