An early start again as we took 3 horses for an away day on grass, the forecast is for some heavy frosts so we need to get them on grass before that sets in. Tomorrow, we will take a good few others.
A mixed bag at the races, I thought Jester Jet ran a career best and was disappointed for her more than anything else in that she found one better on the day. She is ever so consistent, a pleasure to have and helps me restore my faith in our abilities. Thomas Patrick makes me question everything I do, he has paid the price for going from 115 in the handicap to 148 in the shake of a lambs tail. In hindsight, I wish we had just gone under the radar this season rather than setting big targets which have contributed to him totally losing his way. We talked it though all summer yet got caught up in all the hype and aimed at targets which have proved to be too much for him and his undoing.
