Interconnected.

We worked Interconnected, Coningsby and Snapdragon Fire, all the others cantered around the sand and up the hill. Interconnected and Goodwyn the Great have entries at Thorpe Lodge on Sunday week. Interconnected took my eye out this morning, his work was outstanding. Much to my disgust, the organizers of the Larkhill meeting next weekend have chosen to exclude 4 year olds from their maiden. David Simpson has written a very good column in this weeks Horse and Hound correctly stating that there is room for the young and the old horses in the point to point field. The young horses are really helping to raise the profile of point-to-points in the UK. This week Marcus Armitage has written about p2p’s in the Telegraph and Steve Dennis gave 80% of his weekly column in the Racing Post to our sport. I’m sure The Royal Artillery Hunt will manage without us but I do think they need to open up their maidens to all horses of all ages as nearly all other hunts do. Statistics will tell you 4 year olds win a tiny fraction of maidens run in the UK each year and to exclude them on the best track in the country is very sad.

Colorado Gold will run in the 2nd division of the p2p bumper tomorrow at Barbury Castle, there are some interesting pedigrees in the entries and anything could be in it. She has pleased us in her home work and being a half sister to Singlefarmpayment she is breed for the job.
