A couple of relaxing days spent in Cornwall over the weekend, the sun shone and the surf was up! There are ways and means to calm children, my method is clearly seen below. If you've seen Game of Thrones you'll know about The Many Faced Gods!
The horses are all coming along nicely. Russian Service, Man O’ Words and Brandon Hill came back into training today. 3 lovely horses to look forward to running this time around. Brandon Hill is unbeaten for us. Sadly, got a tendon injury during his last run at Ludlow in January 2015. He’s been given the time he needed and hopefully his tendons will hold up and we can get back to winning ways with him. Russian Service won his p2p at Siddington pulling a cart before failing to sell at Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham sale. Man O’ Words is a late maturing horse, he ran very creditably in 2 bumpers at Doncaster and Ayr before experiencing a very rough run at Uttoxeter before being turned away.
Robert Chugg dropped off a 3-year-old filly by Kayf Tara to be broken in, she didn’t make her reserve in The Derby Sale. I like to see owners/breeders who aren’t afraid to race them if they don’t make it in the sale ring. With the cost of breeding them people can’t be expected to give their horses away.
Gabriel Oats jumped a few hurdles today and did it nicely.
