8 horses went for an away day at 5.30 this morning, nothing too serious just education for babies before they get their summer breaks. Flashing Glance and Equus Amadeus did a bit of work late morning. Flashing Glance has an entry at Ayr on Saturday and Equus Warwick on Monday. We have entries most days next week, some of which will need rain before they load into the horsebox.
Jester Jet has the main attribute needed in racehorses in that she tries, she won’t be seen on ground that fast again, I don’t think the trip is an issue, more the type of track she runs on. Ludlow was plenty sharp enough for her and anyone who regularly reads my blog will know I’d much prefer to run a horse at Ludlow on fast ground than soft. We had her in the right race and its very pleasing to get 2 wins from 2 runs for the yard. Again, the handicapper will have his say and she may just find life gets even tougher from her on in. Ultimately, she will jump and fence. Robbie gave her a great ride and deserves plenty of praise for getting her up on the line. We desperately need some rain, a walkover at Exeter today just about sums it up for the time being.
