Couldn’t see a whole lot this morning in freezing fog but we worked Polydora, Neveille’s Cross and Quick Draw. The other horses all had routine canters, as I eluded to yesterday many will just tick over for a few weeks now.

A few 3 year olds who are somewhat behind others jumped fences in the ménage.

James Knight has written his column in the Racing Post asking why there is no horse racing between 22ndand 25thDecember. I suggest he comes to work here for twelve months or any other yard in the country before asking himself the same question again. Another fine example of pure ignorance within the Racing Post. Punters before horses and all those who make it happen day in day out most days of the year.

The ditch around the sand is complete and we are now in the process of changing all our hot wash bays and drying rooms over to gas rather than electric. The electric bills each month would pay for a horse to be trained.
