Perth was as beautiful as ever, their ground was poor which was disappointing, there was a bit of everything for everyone and Silk Run felt every bit of the ground on the softer side of good. That didn’t help her but the winner won easily and we sadly, bumped into a very well handicapped horse. Silk Run is fine after her run and will have her day.

Enchancia won nicely at Cotlestone last night and will now go to the sales.

We stayed over night in Murrayshall Hotel, the evening improved later on.

We hit some golf balls around early this morning, I highly recommend the hotel if you are in Perth, lovely food, great staff and a smashing gold course. The 7-hour drive home was a little more sufferable after a good round of golf in glorious morning sunshine. Tim Edwards took 3 times the number of shots than anyone else and walked 3 times as far after his ball. I for once hit the ball very straight and the £10 I took off Tim was immensely satisfying. I won’t let him forget it either.

Polydora will go to Aintree tomorrow night, if the ground is safe he will run. We will put open cup blinkers on in the hope it helps him to concentrate, he is a bit like I was in the classroom, easily distracted.
