Most horses cantered up the woodchip this morning, I was gone early to the sale. Cirano De Sivola sold for 60,000, he was a cheap horse. Trade for the form horses was very strong and as it was pointed out to me, buying a horse on spec and then turning around to a potential owner and saying the horse is hobdayed doesn’t help. It is fair comment and I think he would have gone on from 60,000 had he not have needed the operation. Tattersalls have done an amazing job since taking over from Brightwells, Brightwells were very good but Tattersalls are just bigger operators. The hospitality they lay on for vendors and purchasers is incredible and much appreciated. Their rivals could learn a lot from them. Niamh Flynn who works on the marketing team for Tattersalls even plaited Cirano for me and a very good job she made of it too. What a service, thank you Niamh. 

I had a very good veiw of all the races high up in the Tattersalls boxes.

Being away from the yard for 2 days doesn't agree with my blood presure, what does help though is i've a great bunch of staff who I trust implicitly. I am looking forward to tomorrow and getting back to the horses. Ke;sey ran a shocker today, his next trip in a horse box will be to Doncaster May sale. He needs a fence in front of him and will certainly win races on heavy ground over fences.
