Pinnacle Peter found the ground to his disliking at Towcester this afternoon, anything he achieves over hurdles will be a bonus, he’s a real chaser in the making and has a huge frame still to fill.

Agamemon has it all to do tomorrow in a listed bumper at Ascot, he’s well and should be sharper and more street wise for his Southwell experience. Being a light framed horse, he is very much having to learn his job on the racetrack.

Chase End Charlie is back over hurdles, he’s only 5 and another run or 2 over hurdles won’t do his confidence any harm. He has his whole life to go and jump fences. I think he will benefit from the better ground at Ascot and expect a competitive run from him tomorrow.

This morning most horses had routine canters up the woodchip and a few 3 year olds put in a few miles on the sand.

We received a Christmas card with these words of wisdom, which I really enjoyed.

Albert Einstein’s wisdom

Try not to become a person of success but rather try to become a person of value.

Only a life lived for others is a life worth while.

It is better to believe than to disbelieve; in so doing you bring everything to the realm of possibility.

It’s not that I am so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems for longer.

Logic will get you from A to B, imagination will take you anywhere.

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

You never fail until you stop trying.

If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.

Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible.

Everybody is a genius but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
