Another beautiful day, where had the rain gone, the ground is baking please rain again!

We worked Polydora, David John, Easter Rocket, Equus Amadeus and Sword of Fate this morning. The others in training put in some hard yards on the sand.

Silk Run set off in good time this morning en route to Perth, 10 hours later she has arrived. Thankfully, she is very laid back and undisturbed by the traffic jams clogging up the M6. She is in competitive mare’s handicap hurdle up there tomorrow evening and needs to show a little more than we have seen to date to trouble the judge. I will be chasing her up the M6 in the morning.

We have emptied the top barn and started to power wash it all down, the painter will be in with his machine on Saturday to give it a lick of paint all ready for next winter, a few more horses headed off for their summer breaks and a few others will follow next week allowing us to get on with the other barns.

Gander is proving to be difficult and made another attempt for freedom this morning, 3 Romanians soon hunted him down and locked him back in the enclosure.
