Sorry there was no blog yesterday, the day ran away and I ran out of energy. It was after 10 p.m. when I tucked Alchemy in to bed around. Lamanver Alchemy pulled too hard at Plumpton and will struggle until she settles. Lamanver Odyssey on the other hand won in good fashion yesterday at Taunton, she showed she has guts and a great attitude, the improvement in her for a summer will be huge. I think she will make a smashing hurdler and will ultimately jump a fence. Tommie gave her a good ride and deserves some credit for getting her up in the dying strides. Lamanver Odyssey is now for sale, the dam has breed 3 winners and Lady of Lamanver will hopefully win at the weekend. My job is to sell Odyssey; she does not have to stay in training here. However, we would love to have her. If anyone is interested in buying her, please get in touch.

This morning we worked, Hag Stone, Chase End Charlie, Isle of Ewe, Singlefarmpayment, Boagrius, Russian Service, Kelsey, Agamemmon, Triopas, Bells on Sunday, Man O’ Words, Cuirassier Dempire and Aspergillum. A very exciting morning. 

There is nothing like Cheltenham, I couldn’t wait to get in front of the television and I think I am doing ok in the local pub tipping competition. No doubt a few are doing much better. I recall bidding on Altior at the sales having had his full brother Cestus who sadly broke his leg on the gallops after we sold him. Cestus was good and his brother looks even better. The days racing was scared by the fatality of The Govaness, she was running a blinder jumping the last hurdle in 2^nd behind Vroum Vroum Mag, we have her half brother, Russian Service. Which jockey came up the hill in front more often than any other? Not bad for someone who can’t ride over the last!

One-day next month or later this there will be no jockeys as many have a one-day ban!

Tomorrow, the horses that worked today will have an easy day around the farm and I will be heading to Cheltenham to have Cirano De Sivola vetted prior to the sale on Thursday evening after racing.
