The horses have had a busy enough week, this morning they all had quiet canters.

Lough Derg Leader ran a cracking race in the Pertemps qualifier finishing 5th beating all but 2 of the older horses in the race.  He gave weight to all the horses who finished in front of him - they went a mad gallop on ground that was plenty soft enough for him, the softest he has encountered. Given he is still a novice he has run a super race and has qualified for the Pertemps at the festival should that be the chosen route.

Sir Egbert showed plenty on his debut, just immaturity caught him out and he will surely come on for the experience. Sir Egbert needs proper winter ground so we will look for another opportunity as soon as he tells us he’s up for it.

At Kempton, New Member showed all the signs to warrant a holiday, he will have a rest now and wait for the spring ground.  New Member has allowed us to keep him busy, he’s run 8 times since October, he’s been placed 4 times and won 2. He’s given us a huge amount of enjoyment and deserves his break.

All the horses are now home, the 3 of them walked off the lorries sound and tucked straight into their feed pots.

Have a lovely weekedend.
