The news of Trevor Hemmings death this morning was sad, I didn’t know him particularly well but always had a chat with him at the sales and occasionally on the racecourse. He always has something to say and was fun to listen too. His support to the National Hunt industry was phenomenal and his love affair with Aintree and the Grand National was something very special.

This morning we worked Adrimel, Cruz Control, Scipion, Benito, King Ferdinand, JohnBB, Sebastopol, Rosmuc Relay, Terrierman, San Agustin, Velasco, Pounding Poet, Gold Clermont, Lossiemouth, Immortal Fame, Ginny’s Destiny, Highstakesplayer, Dibble Decker, Dorking Boy, Lamanver Storm and Roger Rarebit.  They all seem in good shape; many will not work again until next week as the weather forecast appears to offer little or no rain.

I’m On Snap ran her race again. It is hard to fault her, she will win again. Quick Draw jumped great and wants a stiffer test. The winner looked to have plenty in hand.
