Typical Monday morning canters for the horses.

What a run of we are having with our horses our last 5 runners have resulted in 4 winners. Vado won very well this afternoon, getting a great ride off Robbie.

I had to dash from the racecourse at I had to collect the kids as Tilly and Sophie are hunting away from home. We had a celebration steak in Ledbury and now I have to go and do the ponies left at home with Sholto and Panda before bed.

I am disappointed for Cheltenham with the ground, it is going to be tough for all horses and I feel that heavy ground doesn’t below at Cheltenham in March. There is no better spectacle than maximum fields charging down to the first fence or hurdle with the sun high in the sky and hearts in mouths. The races aren’t filling up because of the ground and that dilutes it all a little for me. All said and done it is still the biggest National Hunt festival of the year and we will certainly enjoy it and dream about Vado Forte winning the Close Brothers novice handicap chase next year.

Have a great week.
