I rode out a couple of lots this morning and then watched Lamanver Alchemy school over 16 hurdles. Very Intense held her hand. Both horses jumped beautifully. I then headed off to Cheltenham to look at the sales horses. Sadly, the ones I liked all made too much money. I did bid under bid on one of them and now regret not having one more bid. Buying horses on spec is a brave man’s game and after all the money we’ve spent on the facilities here I’m not as brave as I might have once been.

Today was special in that North Hill Harvey won at Cheltenham this afternoon, it was arguably the best novice hurdle run this season. He won it like the good horse we believed he is. From what I could gather, I think he will be back there in March.  We bought him in Goffs and won a maiden p2p at Chaddesley Corbett before selling him. I will be heading back to Cheltenham tomorrow afternoon to support Net Work Rouge.

Heading to the start.

And just teasting the ground for Net Work Rouge in the number 1 spot!
