Cora Sundrop ran a nice race on debut, she was too far back from the start and possibly did too much getting into the race, the winner and 3rd horse were right up on the pace from flag fall and it paid off for them. The 2nd horse isn’t too shabby, all bar one of the 4 horses in front of her had the benefit of previous racecourse experience. The 4th horse was clearly held in high regard given the money that came for her. All said and done Cora didn’t disgrace herself at all, she behaved in the preliminaries and settled nicely throughout the race. If we had our chance to run the race again I think she would be a lot closer to the winner. Bumpers are bumpers and no two are ever run the same.  To the eye it looked like they went a nice gallop from the start and kept quickening to the line. I would think it rode a good race.

This morning Sword of Fate and Silk Run had a blow on the woodchip in preparation for their runs at Worcester tomorrow, I was very impressed with Counter Sky when he won at Worcester last time, he has a penalty to carry and will be hard to beat. Silk Run will be gaining valuable racecourse experience before starting over hurdles. Both horses appear to be well are genuine and will run solid races.
