Agamemmon ran a solid race finishing 4th in a race that wasn’t run to suit him, Richard Johnson felt the shadows in front of the hurdles caused him to jump the hurdles down the back as if they were fences, he was then very careful over his hurdles up the home straight. He now has that experience under his belt and we can go forward from here. It is always disappointing when things don’t pan out how one expects them too. Given Taunton is a sharp enough track, one thing you expect to get at Taunton is a true run race. All said and done it was his first run over hurdles and he’s entitled to improve for the experience.

This morning many of the horses put in a couple of steady miles around the sand.

Mary Eleanor received a very nice pedigree update when Lady Karina won the last at Hereford today, just beating Lamanver Odyssey a filly we trained to win a bumper at Taunton. Mary Eleanor is the last foal from the amazing Lady Rebecca and will have an entry to run at Doncaster at the end of the month.
