Brandon Hill has come out of Warwick in good shape, he’s sound and his legs handle great.

We worked Kimberlite Candy, Agamemmon and Chase End Charlie, all 3 horses worked nicely. All the others had routine canters up the hill or around the sand.

When is rains it pours, the heavens opened at lunchtime and there has been little let up since, based on what we could see on the television, Cheltenham got off lightly when compared to what rain we’ve had.

The trade of breeze up horses and form horses at Cheltenham last night was, yet again strong and the clearance rate, on paper looked above average. The demand for horses is there and if you’ve a nice one with decent form there are plenty of people to pay strong money for them. Cool Getaway made £305,000, as his name suggests he’s by one of my favourite sires in Getaway. We have 2 three years old by him this year, a gelding from Doncaster May sale and a filly from Tattersalls August sale. Both will be reoffered once they’ve raced. They can be bought before hand too! If anyone is looking for nice 3 year olds we have a barn full of them.

Speaking of Getaway, Agamemmon has an entry for the listed bumper at Ascot on Friday. As you may expect, it is a good race on paper. Agamemmon has done nothing but impress and is very much learning on the job. He'll be sharper for his Southwell experince and I am very much looking forward to seeing him step up. There were a lot of very well thought of horses behind him at Southwell, and he's earned the chance to have a go at a big one. Chase End Charlie will be on the bus with him and has an entry back over hurdles.
