Tea Clipper and Adrimel did their last serious bit of work before heading to Cheltenham next week, Tea Clipper is most likely to run in the Coral Cup and Adrimel is most likely to take his chance in the Albert Bartlett on the Friday. Adrimel will be confirmed for the Ballymore too keeping all options open. Adrimel wants rain Tea Clipper doesn’t. Argonauta and Algesiras also worked this morning. Flashing Glance jumped twelve fences before heading to Leicester on Friday. He will do the same again tomorrow.  

Mr Melda ran a better race yesterday at Newcastle. Teescomponentslass also ran a nice race hitting, seeing both horses run as expected was a he relief as our horses have not quite been firing on all cylinders. Teescomponentslass will improve for an obstacle in front of her and another summer under her belt. She will be winning races. 

The build up to Cheltenham seems very diluted. This time last year we were buzzing, I had done two preview evening and the excitement was constantly building towards the first race. Without the preview evening, of which, we all moan about doing the anxiety is somewhat reduced. I think I’ve missed doing them and the offers to do them on zoom have been politely declined. I will be a guest on two zoom preview evenings for those organized by owners in the yard. 

I certainly didn’t expect to receive a text that Bangor has been cancelled on Saturday. We have clearly missed the wind and rain.
