Equus Amadeus, Kimberlite Candy, Jester Jet and Kalahari Queen worked. Agamemon followed them through. Agamemon heads to Market Rasen on Sunday, he is up in trip and runs for the first time in a handicap. He hasn’t run a bad race all season and his 4th at Taunton was very creditable given he jumped like he was jumping over the moon. He ran a very solid race at Kempton last time in good company. I’m looking forward to seeing him run on Sunday.

Chase End Charlie is finding life hard, we switched him back to hurdles after his fall at Bangor as he has always lacked confidence in his own jumping ability. Today he jumped with fluency and was just out classed in a competitive handicap on ground he doesn’t like. I think the runs back over hurdles have done the job and he has gained the confidence we wanted and will now have another go over fences.

Colin Tizzard quote in todays Racing Post was out of the top draw. “Anyone who has ever had a horse thinks they can train and I’ve been trying for 20 years” One thing we all know in this game is that you never stop learning, you have to ride the rough times, keep improving in your decision making and enjoy the good days.

There will be no blog tomorrow evening as I have a very important meeting in Twickenham and will be home too late. Have a great weekend and enjoy the rugby.
