We have been very lucky with the freeze in that all the gallops had dried before it arrived. This morning we schooled Highstakesplayer, Marty Time, Mr Melda, Pounding Poet, Baily Gorse, Immortal Fame, Glory and Fortune, Eastern, Lossiemouth and Neville’s Cross over hurldes. Kimberlite Candy, Algesiras, Johnbb, Stung for Cash, Red Nika, four unnamed four year olds, New Moon and Lamanver Storm over fences. Sholto had his first experience of schooling over fences which was lovely to witness. The other horses all had routine canters around the sand and up the hill.

The racecourses and the powers that be are doing a great job in considering restaging of races, they may get some things wrong but I think the industry, on the whole has been phenomenal throughout a very challenging period for everyone around the world.

It looks unlikely that we will have any racing away from all weather bumpers until Tuesday, Flashing Glance heads to Kempton tomorrow. To read my thoughts click here.
