We schooled Legal Exit, Very Intense, Pinnacle Peter, and Triopas over fences. Zac Baker and Tommie O’ Brien rode. Chase End Charlie, Furiously Fast and Kelsey had a pop over some hurdles. Armed with marmalade, Mary McFarlane, a member of the racing club came to watch the mornings proceedings. Her marmalade is award winning and deservedly so. I always feel a bit guilty when owners visit but I have a very hands on approach and am always flitting from one place to another or from one horse to another.

Buckfastleigh have now called their meeting off. I wonder if they had any entries? No one seemed to see any!

Chase End Charlie runs at Doncaster tomorrow, he is fit and well but has a penalty to cope with. He will love the better ground, we know he likes the track and I’m a big believer in horses for courses.

A picture of my newly sign written lorry. Frank went off in it this afternoon. I asked him if many people waved, he told me only ostones were thrown.
