Aintree in all its glory!

Pinnacle Panda is a victim of his own success, the handicapper has his measure mid week and he’s not good enough to run in graded races. He will now go on holiday and novice chase next season. It was lovely to have a couple of horses to run at Aintree giving all the owners a great thrill. The atmosphere there is fantastic, owners and trainers are well looked after.

The national was as good as I can remember and all horses and jockeys came home safely. Robbie Dunne’s sit on the 3rd horse was as good a recovery as anyone will ever witness, I grew up remembering Rhyme and Reason doing the splits and many kids may grow up remembering Robbie’s sit today.

Willie Mullins is certainly all out to win the champion trainers title over here and his comment of running Douvan at Perth if need be is out of the top draw. Good luck to him.
