It was great to get Brandon Hill back into the winner’s enclosure. I’m particularly fond of Brandon, not only is he a weirdo he was one of the few horses who really helped me get going - winning 2 out of 2 over hurdles before getting an injury to his leg and missing the lions share of 2 years. He’s now won 3 out of 4 for us. The handicapper certainly gave him a chance dropping him 2lbs after Uttoxeter and we were only too delighted to grab it. Brandon Hill didn’t let us down jumping and galloping the others into submission under a great ride form Noel Fehily. If he didn’t get his landing gear down after the 1st fence I think he would still be rolling. The handicap bands are too far apart in my mind and more horses need opportunities in tighter framed handicap bands.

All horses had routine canters at home this morning and long may their good health and form remain.
