Typical Monday morning canters for the horses this morning. Mr. Melda and Pounding Poet schooled over some hurldes. Mr. Melda and Teescomponentslass head to Newcastle tomorrow, to read my thoughts click here.
Kelso was not fun, I knew it was a sharp track but had no idea quite how sharp, they are constantly on the turn and that didn’t help us. The ground just got more and more holding as the day went on. Benito got the best of it and ran with promise. Fair Kate found it all too sharp, they went a million miles an hour and she was flat to the mat from the get go. Sebastopol was really disappointing; he just isn’t getting home over any trip. We will now wait for some proper fast ground for him. Vado Forte tripped over his own feet having jumped the fence perfectly he had I fact taken a stride after the fence. The track was way too sharp for him and the drying ground was against him too.
