It was always going to be a tactical affair yesterday and we knew what we could have been letting ourselves in for. Sword of Fate had always enjoyed making the running and that style of running has done him proud, as a result of going up in grade he will now have to be ridden differently. We inevitably set it up for the winner and the 2ndhorse probably did a bit too much too not giving Sword of Fate any rope. He is fine this morning and we will look for another race for him in due course.
Silk Run went up 5lbs, man hug Pete owes me a fiver! David John also went up 3lbs which I think is harsh.
I am heading up to Doncaster this afternoon, Enchancia and The Triple Pillar are in tomorrows sale and will be vetted after lunch.
This morning Flashing Glance did a bit more than the others who continue to bought along quietly.
I think the airports were full of NH jockeys last night as many headed off for a holiday with their families or the lads. I think the Greek Islands could be a dangerous place to be next week.
