Racing today at Wincanton proved what an amazing industry we are involved in. There was a considerable delay to racing as someone was airlifted to hospital having taken a nasty turn. Everyone rallied around and the bumper that could so easily have been lost due to daylight hours actually went off on time. It was a fair achievement from the authorities, jockeys and more so, the staff who managed the quick turn around with the horses.

Snapdragon Fire ran a nice race only to bump into what looks a very well handicapped horse, horses coming back down the handicap can always be a big danger as this one proved to be. Finishing second isn’t something anyone enjoys but at least Stan rode the winner which eases the pain a little.

Quiet canters for all again this morning. Some will have to do a little more tomorrow as one or two are just getting a little fresh. Quri is fine after her run at Haydock yesterday, unless minds are changed she will now head to the paddocks.

Dimmensdale will be rehomed now, every horse deserves their chance but we are all in agreement he isn’t going to cut the mustard as a racehorse.
