The farmers think summer must be here, everywhere I go they are madly cutting the hay down. It is certainly a vast improvement on the weather we’ve had to date.

This morning was the same as most mornings for the 3 year olds, some are out and about the others trotting and cantering in the ménage.

Gabriel Oats and Go West Young Man worked through on the woodchip having cantered around the sand. I have a race pencilled in for Gabriel Oats at Uttoxeter in a couple of weeks’ time.

The Williams sisters have seriously stood the test of time; they are serious athletes. It is great to see them not only as individuals but also competing in the doubles. Maybe they are short of a few quid!
