First Du Charmil ran a solid race in behind some decent horses, he’s a horse I’ve always liked yet still has plenty to learn. He needs to learn to race and is a nice prospect for the future. Mary Eleanor is as tough as old boots, the race was run at a steady pace and she just got done for speed turning out of the back, she stayed on resolutely to snatch 3rd in another photo having looked as if she was going to be well beaten half way up the home straight. She gave 8lbs to the winner 2nd,4th and 5th horse.  When she gets a hurdle and a step up in trip she will win her races. That won’t be until next year, we will give her a chance to recover from yesterdays race and then look for one more bumper before she gets a well earned summer break.

Nothing too exciting happened here this morning the horses have had a busy enough week for the time of year and most had routine canters up the woodchip.

Sword of Fate will go to Larkhill tomorrow for the 2.4 mile young horse maiden, he appears to have come on plenty since his first run, he will love the better ground tomorrow, I’m very much looking forward to seeing him run.
