The prop shaft has gone on my jeep, apparently it is a common problem - no change out of £1,000!

Routine canters for most of the horses this morning before taking Bogarius, Polydora, Russian Service and Cuirassier Dempire for an away gallop. All horses worked well, Russian Service will have an entry at Whitfield next Sunday. Bogarius and Polydora may run over Easter along with Cuirassier Dempire. All running plans will be ground dependant, we drove home through snow around Cirencester this afternoon.

The digger is making in roads into completing the additional drainage we are putting around the sand gallop and it should all be finished by the end of next week at the latest. We’ve been able to get on it for 2 lots each day before the workers arrive.

Tomorrow we head off to Didmarton with Pinnacle Peter, hopefully 3rd time lucky. He needs to concentrate on the job. He has loads of ability and has shown us plenty. He hasn’t helped himself but has a future. The horses are starting to queue up for races and the pressure is building.
