A day trip to Doncaster, thankfully, I was feeling a million dollars compared to yesterday. Sales are always busy but they are a great reminder of all the lovely people involved in the sport. There’s always time for plenty of banter and of course the serious stuff of buying horses. We bought Lot 73, Shining Shire. There is one leg left if anyone is interested in owning a share. He has a very current pedigree buit isn’t over big at 15.3 hands, he's very active for a small horse. Serienschock in the 2nd dam line was only beaten 14 lengths by Thistlecrack at Aintree. The more I looked at him the more I liked him, he reminded me of Hollybush Henry, albeit, this lad is better looking. He will go juvenile hurdling, the juvenile bumpers, in my mind are not a route to market. He may even end up running in The Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot! I can just see myself in a top hat!

All the horses lobbed around the sand again today. The babies will soon be starting their jumping tuition.
