The runners from yesterday are all in fine fettle. Singlefarmpayment is very exciting, I can't wait to see him back over fences but imagine we will save him to have a full season in novice company.
This morning most horses had 3 steady canters on the hill. The sand gallop is being topped up so for the last few days we have been unbale to get on it. The orginal 9 inches of sand has now settled and I want more on it for the safety of the horses legs. After 2 canters on the hill, Lamanver Alchemy loose schooled, she is feeling very well, she went around there at high speed and frightened the life out of me, she was very accurate and it is time to introduce the jockey in the hope of slowing things up a bit. She will now progress to jumping hurdles in the menage before going out onto the schooling strip.
We will be quiet on the runners front for a few days now. Kelsey is in at Chepstow on Saturday but very low in the ballot. Katie Kilminster will be aimed at the 3 year old fillies bumper at Newbury on the 16th December. Chase End Charlie was busking this morning so if he carries on in that fashion we will soon be looking to run him again.
